Poland for hundreds of years was the largest country in Europe. Poland went from Moscow to the Black Sea to the Baltic to Europe. It was also the also the center of learning and culture from Copernicus to a high concentration of Universities as well as Europe's first constitution.
Today as an EU member it is the most successful Eastern European economically and a world power.
