More and more I am reading in Russian about Putin protests. I think this is not only because people like Gary Kasparov running the other Russia theotherrussia.org/2010/03/18/a-historical-dead-end-putin-must-go/ makes a point that democracy does not exist in Russia, but Russians realize that the wool has been pulled over their eyes. Russian patriots I believe are those who believe in democracy. Those who believe in free press and free speech and do not want to live in fear of the government.
Putin protests are against what Vladimir Putin represents, that is an old style post communistic oligarch leadership that benefits the people in power.
If Russia truly had a democracy the middle class in Russian would make Russia a wealthy free nation.
